Terms of use

These terms are between you and Bitfuzed (PVT) LTD (“we”), who make Fenwrite. By using the app you agree to them. If you got Fenwrite from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

What Fenwrite does

Fenwrite records audio, writes down what is said (using AssemblyAI), labels who said it, and writes a summary and to-dos (using OpenAI). Transcripts, speaker labels, name suggestions and summaries are produced automatically and can be wrong. Check anything important against the recording before relying on it.

Recording people

You are responsible for how you use Fenwrite. Tell the people you record, and get their agreement where the law requires it. Don’t use Fenwrite to record anyone secretly or unlawfully.

Free and Pro

• Free: your first hour of recording, up to 10 minutes per recording.
• Fenwrite Pro: a monthly or yearly subscription with a monthly allowance of recording time, shown in the app, and up to 3 hours per recording. Unused time doesn’t carry over to the next month.

Pro is billed by the App Store or Google Play at the price shown before you buy. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Your content

Your recordings and notes are yours. You give us permission to process them only as needed to run the app: to transcribe, summarise and, if you sign in, back up the text. See the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Fenwrite: no attempts to break, overload or get around its limits, and no using it for anything illegal.

Availability

We work to keep Fenwrite running, but transcription and summaries depend on internet services that can be slow or unavailable. Recordings are kept on your phone and finished when the service is back.

Liability

Fenwrite is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made on an inaccurate transcript or summary. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
